Bloomberg News says the discount retailer will be offering $50 off its already reduced prices on the popular Apple (AAPL) smartphones for the holiday season. Wal-Mart (WMT) reportedly said the deal is being offered now because people are no longer as focused on single shopping events, such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

The retail giant also cited data from the National Retail Federation, which says less than 10% of Americans complete their Christmas shopping lists by December.

With the discount, the iPhone 6 will start at $129, while the iPhone 6 Plus, which has a larger screen, will start at $229.

Wal-Mart also announced a series of other deals in a news release, one that curiously omits the deal on iPhones. These other deals include a price cut on another smartphone, the Samsung GS5, which is now selling for just $79.

Walmart is also cutting the cost of the popular PlayStation gaming system, barbie dolls, and televisions.
