MPW Insider is an online community where the biggest names in business and beyond answer timely career and leadership questions. Today’s answer for: What is your Sunday routine? is written by Stacia Pierce, CEO of Ultimate Lifestyle Enterprises.

Sundays have always been a day of inspiration, rejuvenation, and preparation for my upcoming week. I use this day to partake in activities that arouse all of my senses. My day begins at church, where I receive my daily dose of inspiration. When you have a career that requires you to empower others, you need time every week to re-fill with positive assertions.

After church, my family and I, along with a few friends go to brunch where there is always lots of laughs and friendly banter over a great meal. On the way home, I stop by Barnes and Noble to pick up the latest magazines and new books that interest me. This weekly trip to the bookstore keeps me current with the latest business trends and developments. I also stock up on fashion and beauty magazines to spark ideas for new and upcoming projects.

When we get home, I change into something more casual and do activities that bring me closer to nature. I usually read a book poolside or take a walk as the sun begins to set and the weather cools. In the evening, I take out my Daily Productivity and Profit Planner, a guided journal that I created for planning business endeavors. There’s a section with a Sunday checklist. This list helps me get ready for the week ahead. It includes everything from wardrobe planning to meal preparation and organization. Using this guided section in my planner helps me rebalance so that I can start my week off strong and prepared.

Once all of my preparation is done, I make time to relax with a spa bath and soothing music that fills the house. Once in bed, I take out my journal to write my goals and reflect on what’s to come in the following days. And lastly, I browse through my big stack of magazines before falling asleep.

I savor my Sundays. It is the only day that is completely free of appointments and business demands. I use every minute of the day to refresh and restart so that I can have another productive week.
