UPDATE: Alex Little, lawyer for Kesha’s mother, Pebe Sebert, issued the following statement to EW:

“The litigation with Dr. Luke has been a nightmare for Mrs. Sebert and her family. She has decided to move on and find peace and forgiveness in her heart rather than dwelling in the cancerous past of an ongoing lawsuit with no end in sight.”

EARLIER: Kesha’s mother, Pebe Sebert, has dropped her counterclaims against Lukasz Gottwald, otherwise known as Dr. Luke.

The news comes only three weeks after a New York Supreme Court Judge threw out Kesha’s claims against Gottwald and Sony, in which Kesha accused the record producer of sexual and drug-related assault and requested the label release her from her current contract. (Dr. Luke has denied any wrongdoing on multiple occasions, including via his Twitter account: “I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her.”) The court documents showed Judge Shirley Werner Kornreich rejected the pop singer’s request for an emergency order, citing that her amendment “lacks merit as a matter of law.”
