The gaming console maker, which originally launched Playstation’s fourth incarnation in 2013, said a cheaper, revamped version of its standard PS4 will hit stores next month, along with a new high-end model of the same device, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The move is part of Sony’s (SNE) plan to maximize casual users of the PS4 as well as subscribers to the company’s gaming services, according to industry watchers quoted by the Journal.

The new, cheaper PS4 will be thinner and cost less than the current price tag of $350, the Journal reports. The high-end model will have improved, 4K resolution graphics and a faster processing speed.

With more than 40 million consoles sold, sales of the PS4 are double those of its closest competitor, Microsoft’s XBox One (MSFT), and triple those of Nintendo’s Wii U.

Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai has credited the Playstation for being the company’s leading growth engine. In July, the company’s gaming division reported $160 million in operating income, according to TechCrunch, for an increase of 350% year over year.

Sony’s Playstation VR is set to go on sale Oct. 13, bringing the company into the emerging virtual reality gaming sector with competitors like Facebook’s Oculus Rift (FB) and HTC’s Vive.
