If you were wondering how the split of one of Hollywood’s biggest power couples would affect the very fabric of the entertainment industry, look no further than Madame Tussauds.
While Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly still in the process of divvying up their considerable assets, including their jointly-owned French vineyard, Madame Tussauds has already taken steps to make the split official. The famed London wax museum has physically separated the two A-list celebs’ wax figures following the surprising news that Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on Tuesday, according to a tweet posted on Wednesday morning.
“Following the news that has shocked celebrity watchers worldwide, we can confirm we have separated Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s figures,” Madame Tussauds said.

From the picture accompanying the tweet, it appears that U.K. actor Robert Pattinson’s wax likeness now stands between Pitt and Jolie, which seem to have maintained their cool composure in this troubling time.
Based on the reporting around the pair’s split, it may have been more appropriate, though certainly not tasteful, if Madame Tussauds placed a wax figure of French actress Marion Cotillard instead.
People reported that Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt following two years of marriage (the couple’s relationship first began in 2004), with the actress and director citing “irreconcilable differences.” Jolie is also requesting full custody of the couple’s six children.
