President Donald Trump is set to address reporters Thursday afternoon as his Administration closes out a chaotic first month in office.
Trump is expected to announce Alexander Acosta as his new nominee for Secretary of Labor, after his initial pick, restaurant executive Andrew Puzder, bowed out on Wednesday.
It remains to be seen whether he will entertain questions about the controversies rocking his White House, including the hobbled rollout of an executive order banning immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries; the resignation of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn; and reports of frequent contact between his campaign aides and Russian officials last year. But at recent news conferences Trump has taken questions from conservative media outlets more friendly to him while ignoring shouted questions about the controversies buffeting his administration.
