Little Tikes is recalling 540,000 toddler swings after multiple reports of the swings breaking and injuring children.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that they had received 140 reports of the Little Tikes 2-in-1 Snug ‘n Secure Pink toddler swings breaking, and 39 reports of children injured as a result. The injuries include abrasions, bruises, cuts, and bumps to the head, according to the commission, as well as two reports of broken arms. The Little Tikes recall website says in many cases the falls resulted from the plastic seat cracking.
The recall includes pink swings sold in the United States from November 2009 through May 2014 with model number 615573 on the back of the seat. The swings were sold in stores around the country, including Walmart and Toys “R” Us.
