Superstitious frequent flyers of the world, relax. Your worst nightmare is about to end: today is the last time you will have to face the possibility of taking Flight 666 to HEL on Friday 13th.
Finnair, the Finnish flag carrier that has operated the otherwise routine Copenhagen to Helsinki route for 11 years, is renumbering its flights at the end of the month.
“We’re growing, so we need more flight numbers.” the company explained via Twitter. In the future, the route will have the more mundane moniker AY954 (although, if you look hard enough, the digits still add up to 18, which is…oh, never mind).

It still operates a regular flight from Singapore’s Changi Airport to Helsinki, meaning you can still go to HEL via SIN. It is the time-honored way, after all.
