Your chances of scoring tickets to Super Bowl LII are long gone. And the volunteer gigs are history as well. But if you’re a die-hard NFL fan, there’s still a way into Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium on Feb. 4. And, as a bonus, you’ll walk out with some extra cash in your pocket.
Minnesota has a low unemployment rate — and that’s making it hard for the company that hires unarmed security guards at the Big Game to find workers. So, if you’re willing to temporarily locate to Minneapolis for the job, you could earn $18 to $24 per hour as you watch (and work) the game.
You’ll need to apply fast, though. S.A.F.E. Management, which oversees the hiring, plans on closing hiring for the game in the coming days.
Step one: Fill out this form. Step two: Cross your fingers. NBC New York reports the last days for interviews was Monday, but a message on the company’s phone line doesn’t indicate the process is over (nor does the form above).
If you get the job, you’ll need to train for 12 hours before starting work in January. You can let the company know which hours, days and locations you can work, but you’ll likely be helping with duties such as crowd control and screening.
