Legion prides itself on creating science-based products that don’t contain proprietary blends, meaning customers get transparency on what ingredient amounts are used. Its supplements are made in the USA, in facilities that are NSF-certified and FDA-inspected. Their manufacturing facilities adhere to Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards, as well.

Our certified nutrition coach, Pete, put Legion’s Recharge Creatine to the test. It’s formulated to support post-workout recovery. Pete analyzed the ingredients, taste, mixability, and more when considering the quality of this creatine. Read on for his full review and our competitor analysis.

Our Experience with Legion Athletics Recharge

Legion Athletics Recharge is a powdered creatine supplement. It includes 5 grams of micronized creatine monohydrate, along with calcium HMB and tart cherry powder, all backed with clinical doses supported by research. This supplement is intended to be taken post-workout to help support recovery. It’s available in five flavors, is free of artificial ingredients, and is third-party tested.

Legion Athletics recharge review

Our certified nutrition coach, Pete, tested Legion Athletics Recharge. Overall, Pete thinks this is a “solid post-workout creatine supplement, with a few bonus ingredients that may have some benefits for post-workout recovery.”

Here is his detailed feedback.

What We Liked

Here’s what Pete rated highly after trying Legion Athletics Recharge.

  • First impression (5 out of 5): “The label on the product is fairly easy to read, though the text is a little small,” Pete said. He thinks this product is a travel-friendly size, and a scoop is included.
  • Instructions (5 out of 5): The instructions were easy to follow, and there are recommendations for both training and non-training days.
  • Mixability (5 out of 5): The product mixed easily for Pete, and there were no chunks or clumping.
  • Taste (5 out of 5): Pete tried the fruit punch flavor and said it is “packed with flavor but isn’t overly sweet.” He also noted that there isn’t a strong stevia taste or aftertaste, which is a definite plus. “It’s light, not chalky or frothy, and is definitely something I would use regularly, especially since a lot of creatine supplements are unflavored,” Pete said.

What We Would Change

Here’s what Pete would improve about Legion Athletics Recharge.

  • Price (3 out of 5): Pete rated the price, which is $44.99 for 30 servings, or $1.50 per serving, as a 3 out of 5. It’s pricier than many other creatines we’ve tested, some of which have cost as low as 25 cents per serving. It’s not the most expensive that we’ve tried (one was over $2 per serving), so we recommend considering how long you may take this creatine, and how it fits into your supplement budget before purchasing.
