Thanks to contributions from employees and a 100% company match for those donations, in 2024 Credit Acceptance officially reached $1 million in donations to Make-A-Wish and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital after years of annual giving. The auto finance firm continues to sponsor a Let’s Talk podcast, where employees discuss issues such as ableism, beauty standards, and code switching in the workplace.
In 2022, New York Times bestselling author Ben Nemtin led workshops in which employees were encouraged to share personal aspirations and post them on internal company sites. Credit Acceptance has since supported a number of these projects, such as sponsoring a group of workers whose goal was to learn American Sign Language.
The company estimates that its profit-sharing program will issue anywhere from $7,500 to $11,000 per employee over the next five years. At the company’s monthly management team meetings, more than 250 leaders gather in a hybrid format to offer managers their best practices for success in hybrid work environments. Those in director positions and above also meet in-person twice annually to foster camaraderie and establish corporate strategy for the long term.a
