With the United States behind Australia by a second in the women’s 4×200-meter freestyle relay, Katie Ledecky brought the United States back in front to capture her third personal gold medal of the Rio Games.
After starting in the one-second hole, Ledecky managed to pull the team ahead by more than a second, finishing in 7:43.03. Australia finished second, in 7:44.87, and the bronze went to Canada, who swam in 7:45.39.

On Tuesday night, Ledecky took home gold in the 200 meter freestyle event. She now has four total medals, and races next in the 800 meter freestyle heats on Thursday afternoon.
