We all lose our cool sometimes. And sometimes, that means smashing expensive electronics we don’t own.
A man was caught on video this week destroying iPhones and other Apple (AAPL) products at an Apple Store in Dijon, France. According to a report from French publication Le Bien Public, the man was upset with a “repayment problem” he had with Apple Store employees, and decided to take his gloved hands to smashing Apple’s products.
The man, who was not identified, was soon arrested by place and placed in custody, according to the local news report.

There’s not much to say about the smash fest other than that it didn’t favor any one product. In fact, the man was able to take down MacBooks, iPhones, and other devices in his rage. It’s hard to tell exactly what he’s holding in his gloved hand, but local reports say he used a metal ball, referred to in France as a “boule.” Regardless, it certainly got the job done: many of the products had smashed screens and appeared to be unusable after the attack.
According to local reports, the investigation into the act is still ongoing. But based on the videos published online, it appears that thousands of dollars worth of Apple equipment was destroyed.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. local time on Thursday. Shortly after, videos of the incident went viral across the Internet and social networks.
