Twitter users, including CNN host Jake Tapper, quickly pointed out that Election Day is Tuesday, not Wednesday, as Trump Jr. implied. Trump Jr. later appeared fixed his error, tweeting, “If you support @realDonaldTrump, then do 2 things in #Virginia TODAY: 1) Get out & vote 2) Vote for @EdWGillespie.”

However, he returned to his initial mistake in yet another tweet Tuesday afternoon, again urging voters to head to the polls “tomorrow.”

Virginia’s gubernatorial election is a close contest between GOP candidate Ed Gillespie, a former White House advisor to President George W. Bush, and Democratic nominee Lt. Gov. Ralph Northam. Polls show Northam has a narrow lead in what is an increasingly polarized state.

Although President Trump never appeared with Gillespie on the campaign trail, Gillespie has been running a Trump-styled campaign focusing on immigration and other Trumpian social issues. Both Trump and his son Trump Jr. have been supportive of the candidate on Twitter.

Update: Trump Jr. later corrected himself with this tweet:
