Powdered greens supplements have become more popular in recent years, with companies claiming they offer benefits like improved energy, better immunity, and sometimes even things like more robust gut health—depending on what’s in the formula.

Though powdered greens can’t replace a completely balanced diet, they do offer an easy way to consume vitamins and minerals. This means they can fit more seamlessly into the packed work schedule. Bring yours in an insulated cup on your commute or take sips throughout your afternoon meetings to help you stay sharp.

We tried BrickHouse’s Field of Greens supplement, examining the ingredients, flavor, and more, and here’s what we found.

Why Trust Fortune

Our team of expert testers has tried hundreds of the most popular supplements on the market today, using our comprehensive supplement testing methodology to find the best products for all folks.

Our Experience with BrickHouse Field of Greens

BrickHouse Field of Greens is marketed as a “doctor-formulated, clinically studied daily nutrition,” with a formula that contains “a real-food blend of fruits, vegetables, and antioxidants” designed to support energy, immunity, and overall wellness.

The company also says Field of Greens is proven to lower your biological age. Based on information posted on BrickHouse’s website, it appears Auburn University conducted a study involving a very small sample size of 19 middle-aged, overweight adults who took Field of Greens daily for 30 days.

When that group was compared with a group who didn’t take Field of Greens, researchers found that over 60 percent of participants who took Field of Greens showed a measurable reduction in biological aging markers during the trial period. However, the study was funded by BrickHouse, which presents a clear conflict of interest, so while that doesn’t invalidate the study results, it does warrant some skepticism.

Additionally, the study authors conclude that, “Overall, the results do not provide conclusive evidence for clinical modulation of biological aging,” but note that certain trends observed during the trial suggest that greens supplementation “may hold potential biological relevance, warranting further investigation in longer and adequately powered trials.”

Here’s what our tester, Pete—who’s also a certified nutrition coach—had to say after trying BrickHouse Field of Greens.

What We Liked

Pete noted a lot of positives.

  • Instructions (5 out of 5): The instructions are to take one serving (one scoop) and mix it with 8 ounces or more of water or another beverage or your choice. Pete found the directions to be clear, straightforward, and easy to follow.
  • Taste (5 out of 5): “I really like the taste of this greens powder,” said Pete, adding, “I’d definitely drink this on a regular basis and it’s honestly one of the best tasting greens powders I’ve tried.”
  • Sweetness (3 out of 5): Pete rated the sweetness an optimal 3 out 5, indicating a well-balanced sweetness. “The best way to describe it is like healthy sweet green tea,” he said.
  • Variety (5 out of 5): Pete was impressed with the flavor options, noting, “What’s unique about this greens powder is that they also have a number of flavors to choose from, including wildberry, strawberry lemonade, lemon lime, cucumber lime, pineapple mango, and chocolate. They also have a “raw” flavor that comes as-is without any sweetener.”
  • Side effects (5 out of 5): “I felt good after drinking this product,” said Pete. “Nothing noticeable in terms of actual benefits but I didn’t feel any bloating or have any negative side effects from drinking this greens powder.”

Another major plus for BrickHouse Field of Greens? According to Pete, “One of the main draws of this greens powder is the fact that it’s made exclusively from organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs, not extracts. This is the reason BrickHouse Nutrition is actually able to use Nutrition Facts on their label rather than Supplement Facts. Every ingredient is USDA-certified organic, and it’s one of the most natural greens powders you’ll find on the market.”

What We Would Change

Our tester raved about Field of Greens, noting only a couple of minor drawbacks.

  • Mixability (3 out of 5): Pete said, “The product was fully dissolved during the 60 second shake, meaning there weren’t any clumps or chunks of powder. That said, it does have a very slight gritty texture that’s pretty common with most greens’ powders.” He added, however, that while it may not have been the perfect texture, it was not unpleasant to drink.
  • Value (1 out of 5): “The main drawback is price,” said Pete, noting, “Ninety dollars for a 30-serving container for a greens powder is expensive.” He did mention that the company’s supplements are HSA/FSA eligible.

Who It’s For & Who It’s Not For

Here’s who might benefit from this product.

People who dislike swallowing pills

BrickHouse Field of Greens is a powdered supplement, which is ideal for people who dislike swallowing capsules and tablets.

Those who don’t eat many fruits or vegetables

Taking powdered greens isn’t the same as actually eating several servings of fruits and vegetables per day, but Field of Greens does include some vitamins and minerals—so it may slightly narrow the gap. (You’d definitely be missing out on all the fiber that’s commonly found in many fruits and vegetables, however.)

People looking for a daily wellness beverage

BrickHouse Field of Greens is a low-calorie, sugar-free powder that can be consumed daily, so some people may consider this “green drink” an easy way to boost their sense of well-being.

Pro Tip

Many people enjoy greens powders partly because they’re so easy to take, and we’ve reviewed other non-capsule supplements as well, including creatine gummies and matcha powders. There’s even a turmeric gummy in our best turmeric supplements lineup.

Frequently asked questions

Is BrickHouse Field of Greens good for you?

We always recommend speaking with a medical professional before starting any new supplement. Your unique medical history, wellness goals, and any medications you take should be considered before adding a supplement to the mix. That said, our reviewer was impressed with BrickHouse Field of Greens and gave it an overwhelmingly positive review. We don’t have any firsthand testing data showing that it led to biological improvements.

What is the difference between BrickHouse Nutrition Field of Greens and AG1?

They’re similar, but AG1 Next Gen’s broader formula supposedly offers gut health benefits, while BrickHouse emphasizes that Field of Greens is made with certified organic fruits and vegetables.

Is Field of Greens safe to take daily?

The company website says, “Field of Greens is made from real foods, doctor-formulated, and safe for daily use as part of your wellness routine.” However, as always, we recommend checking with a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement.
