Steve Jobs may not care about his company’s stock price, but someone in Cupertino does
Here’s a piece of Apple (AAPL) keynote trivia spotted by a keen-eyed member of Investor Village’s AAPL Sanity board who calls himself the silver_Fox.
At the 45:11 mark in Monday’s Worldwide Developer Conference keynote presentation, in the middle of Scott Forstall’s canned demo of iOS 5’s new notification feature, a stock ticker popped up that showed Apple trading at more than $376 a share.
Forstall might wish that were true. According to an SEC Form 4 dated March 24, 2010, he owns 43,137 shares.
But a couple minutes later, during his live demo, a real stock ticker scrolled by showing Apple’s actual midday Monday price: $340.15.
By the end of the week — when Apple closed at $325.90 — even that looked good.
